What to Expect from AI in the Near Future

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly influencing our lives. Today, we encounter it not only on computers and smartphones but also more frequently in televisions.

However, AI has far greater potential, which we will undoubtedly witness in the near future. In which areas will AI enhance our lives?

Smart Homes

Many people already boast about having a smart home. AI assistants like Amazon's Alexa are set to become even more sophisticated. Their integration with various household elements will be more significant, allowing us to delegate a wide range of tasks entirely to artificial intelligence.

With AI, securing our homes against burglaries will become even easier through smart cameras and sensors.

In the event of a break-in attempt, such a system would automatically contact the homeowner and the police, providing them with all relevant information in real-time, including visuals. Smart locks, which can be locked and unlocked remotely, will also gain immense popularity.

These features are somewhat available today but are not yet widely adopted. In the near future, however, a smart home will become as standard as a microwave oven is today.

Healthcare

It's clear that artificial intelligence won't replace doctors, even in the distant future. However, where AI can excel is in diagnostics. Enhanced algorithms will make it easier to identify cancer, myocardial disorders, or neurological problems.

It will also be simpler to optimize treatment for each individual based on data or to identify potential future health issues and initiate preventive measures accordingly. This will make healthcare far more efficient and, consequently, less financially demanding.

Automotive Industry

Artificial intelligence is already an integral part of many modern vehicles, mainly in the form of assistance systems. These systems can help with parking or keep the car in the correct lane. In the future, these assistants could become much more sophisticated.

It's anticipated that AI will be able to monitor the entire vehicle's condition and inform the driver of possible issues or alert them to the need for maintenance. This could virtually eliminate accidents caused by poor vehicle conditions.

When artificial intelligence reaches a truly advanced level, we won't need a driver's license anymore. AI will take us wherever we want to go.

However, this solution is still in its infancy, and it's highly unlikely that we'll be able to use artificial intelligence in this way in real-world traffic within the next few decades.

The End of Humanity?

Many people fear that the rise of artificial intelligence will mean the end of humanity. Perhaps one fine day it will, but current generations certainly won't experience this.

The AI of the near future won't take our lives; instead, it will significantly improve them in many ways.
